AMERICAN Ballroom Dances:
American Ballroom not flamboyant as International Style. Much more suitable for Motown music, social dancing and our dance floors.
Waltz - Popular - 3/4 time. Music example, Rainbow Connection Carpenters or Kermit the Frog etc;
Slowfox - Popular Ideal for today’s waltz music, Blueberry hill, My Girl, Lady in Red etc;
Foxtrot - Popular - Awesome for crooners, Matt Dusk, Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble, etc;
Rumba - Popular - Latin, Sensual yet lots of fun;
Cha-Cha - Popular - Fits most of today’s top charted music Santana to Pitbull;
Samba - Brazilian style, has good solid beat, awesome for cardio!
Quickstep - Fast yet very smooth, there is little demand for this today;
Argentine Tango - Sensual, Romantic, Complex. Your feet essentially get 'tangled' while this can be complex it can largely depends on Instructor;
Mambo - Latin, Count 2 & 6 - also easy to learn...ie Mambo #5;
Salsa - Latin, incredibly popular especially with 16-30yr olds;
Meringue - Caribbean style, it is said if you can count to two, you can Meringue;
Jive - Billy Holy style, Rock around the Clock, great 50's/60's music;
East Coast Swing - Very popular - fits most 1955-2015 music. Can provide amazing cardio;
West Coast Swing] - Blues type music, lots of fun! Can be quite distracting yet seductive;
Lindy-Hop - Perfect for big band music! Great for crooner type music;
Viennese Waltz - Quite fast, consists of many turns, ideal for music ie Piano Man etc;
Paso Doble - Dramatic. Typically for competition or shows.

a - Social Dancing as it’s designed for American styled music.
Q - Is it hard to learn to dance?
a - The American Stlye 'Slowfox' is perfect for today's waltz and very easy to pickup;
Q - How long are classes?
a - Teaching time, 50 minutes.
Q - Will I be embarrassed if I can't do it?
a - Not likely but if you’re concerned take a private lesson, no one else will be watching.
Q - What do I wear?
a - Clean indoor shoes preferably leather soled and NON-marking. Do not recommend Sneakers as they'll make you stick to the floor. Wear casual clothing in which you are comfortable. N cowboy boots nor stilettos.
Q - How many classes will I need to learn?
a - Everyone learns at different pace, there is no standard;
Q - Where will I dance?
a - You'll find there are places all over town. We even bring bands to the studio for students …and we hold dances every weekend.
Q - Do we do Wedding dance?
a - Yes. Wedding dance tailored to couple, each different. Gaining popularity many want dance to be modestly risque, a little sassy or sensual perhaps...or just plain FUN!
Q - Whats your favourite?
a - Argentine Tango and will do this regularly. Afterall, you can tango to anything :)_
